“Socket” for laboratory safety

At the beginning, the decoration company said that many of the instruments in the laboratory were high-power, so the sockets were installed as 16A sockets. But soon the problem came out. In fact, the patch panel and most of the instruments in the laboratory are 10A jacks, and the 16A ones are a bit too large. They have no choice but to communicate with the decoration company.
The 16A socket is a high-power socket. Only muffle furnaces, sterilizers, air conditioners and other equipment are needed in the laboratory. However, there are many times when such a problem exists. All of the labs have 10A sockets, but there is no way to change the power cord of the instrument to 10A.
So this time I took the strategy of keeping half and changing half. Note:The hole distance of 10A socket is about 8mm, and the hole distance of 16A socket is about 10mm.
Many of the instruments in the laboratory are imported instruments. In the early years, my country did not have a national standard for sockets. In order to meet everyone’s needs, enterprises produced universal sockets. The advantage of the universal socket is that the power cords of the European and American countries can be used. But the disadvantage is that the socket is easily broken and unsafe for children. Earlier, I walked through all the local supermarkets and found that all the outlets in China are now national standard outlets. what does this mean?
Many instruments in our laboratory cannot find the plug-in board for their power cords, or there will be no plug-in board available after this year. If the power cord is an active power cord, we can choose to replace it.
However, if the power cord and the machine are all in one, there is a problem. Only the surgical method can be selected for cutting and replacement. If you are in a European or American country, this is to be recalled!
This also reminds us that we should pay attention to the socket of the laboratory. When the laboratory enters the instrument, we must check and accept the power cord of the instrument. The double-hole cable without grounding wire is only suitable for low-power appliances such as mobile phone chargers, hair dryers, razors, desk lamps, etc., or Class II appliances with insulation protection such as electric blankets. We saw many instruments in the laboratory were artificially removed the ground wire, which is very unsafe.
