Jiang Zhengfan, professor. Innate immunity is the first line of defense against infection and tumor. Among them, the CGAs sting pathway, which recognizes intracellular DNA, is very important for tumor immune surveillance and treatment. Jiang Zhengfan laboratory is one of the three laboratories that found sting protein in the world, and has conducted in-depth research on its physiological function. It was found that sting dimerization was important for its activation of innate immune response; The important role of STAT6 and NF KB activated by sting-tbk1 in CGAs sting pathway; Phosphodiesterase that specifically degrades 3’3′-cgamp was found; It is found that a variety of caspases negatively regulate the innate immune response, avoid excessive immune response and the mechanism of apoptotic cells maintaining”immune silence”; It is found that manganese ions play an important role in the anti infection and anti-tumor mediated by CGAs sting pathway, which expands our research on the physiological function of manganese ions, and shows a broad application prospect for manganese ions and manganese adjuvants in anti infection, anti-tumor and vaccine development.
